This scientific expedition, conducted in 2016, was a landmark project aimed at understanding the asteroid impact that contributed to the mass extinction of the dinosaurs.
The photo was taken just before demobilisation, after all equipment was secured and the site made safe. As a light hearted conclusion to the expedition, a “Backstreet Boys”-style group photo was taken with the client and drill crew from DOSECC Exploration Services LLC, celebrating the team’s collaboration and the successful achievement of the scientific goals.
